Meet Theodore Zuinga! Theodore shares about his role at Experian as a Big Data Engineer. #ExperianCreator.
Experian is one of the world leaders in big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning, what are you learning right now and what cool projects are currently working on?
Right now I am creating a web application that leverages Experian’s data quality tool set to give users insight into data quality metrics and trends over time. It has been awesome to get to work with such powerful tools and still be creative at the same time with how I design the UI workflow and visualizations.
What is the most significant part of your job?
I love knowing that my work directly helps our customers utilize their time and resources better. It is also a huge plus to work with people who push me to improve my skills and perform at a higher level.
What I really care about in a company is an excellent work/life balance, competitive benefits, a dynamic and flexible workplace environment, and an emphasis on innovation. Experian checks all of those boxes for me.
Do you have any advice for current and future tech professionals you would like to share?
Make personal projects a priority, and choose ones that you are actually interested in. Doing that has really helped me learn faster and stay motivated.
