Meet Conan! Conan Queally-Adams recently started his DevOps apprenticeship with Experian’s 2021 cohort in Nottingham, UK.

What drew you to Experian’s apprenticeship program, and what is the key area of focus of your apprenticeship?

For me Experian stood out amongst all other programs due to its endless opportunities and support. Experian was able to support me throughout the application process by sending me regular updates, interview tips and checking in with how my initial tests were going. This was one of many indicators assuring me that I was joining the correct company. ‘The Experian way’ also aligned with many of my own personal values including innovate to grow, collaborate to win and valuing each other. Knowing Experian is the world’s leading global information services company which have been awarded Top Employer — 2021, and Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For, made my decision to apply for an apprenticeship even easier. I applied for the DevOps engineer apprenticeship position. DevOps is the union of people, processes, and technology to continually provide value to customers. Within my role I maintain data used throughout the financial services in the UK.

What initially drew you to a career in technology?

Technology has always remained one of my favourite subjects throughout my education. I was drawn into a career based around technology and data due to technology remaining one of the fastest growing/innovating industries of all time, allowing for constant growth and continuous learning. Within this industry all technology boils down to huge amounts of data. I think specifically the importance of data and improving data quality is the path I wanted to follow.

What excites you most about this program?

I am most excited about continuous progression within my work and being able to see that the work I develop makes a real difference. I look forward to being involved and collaborating within different projects which allow me to work alongside multiple great teams and innovative people practicing an agile mindset.
