I’ve been with Experian for 7 years now and I can say that my journey here has been full of positive vibes, challenges, and unique individuals to learn from. Having moved across several departments my responsibilities had been changing every time and I’ve been challenged with each new role or project I’d step in. From providing product support to clients and configuring client solutions, to becoming the product manager of the first SaaS Decisioning offering in the company, and finally being given the opportunity to manage the commercial growth of one of our largest software products — Experian has really given me a lot of opportunities to grow and develop on multiple fronts.

Experian is one of the world leaders in big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning, what are you learning right now and what projects are currently working on?

·As life becomes more digital and we are interacting more and more with our service providers and financial institutions via mobile devices, there is a real need to integrate with new capabilities such as behavioral biometrics, scanning data from documents and human language being recognized and used by AI Virtual Assistants. Digitization and Hyper-Personalization is now expected of all consumer services and now more than ever financial services providers need to focus on being able to offer lending solutions digitally in a seamless, easy and secure manner. I am happy to be at the forefront of the Digital onboarding and technology augmentation strategy for our decisioning software products. I have learned so much about the intricacies of content management solutions, Multi-Experience and low-code platforms, as well as about embedding AI and Machine Learning as part of our Identity Verification services which all power superior digital customer experiences.

What is the most significant part of your job?

I’m currently leading a project, which is going to drive innovation across our Decisioning Lifecycle product suite. Being innovative is key in Experian and we have adopted specific programs and processes to support and promote innovative ideas and innovations which ultimately make Experian a global leader in IT solutions and services.

Experian provides many opportunities for personal growth. And in addition, our wide portfolio of Decision Analytics solutions and services helps create a better tomorrow for our customers.

What advice do you have for current and future tech professionals?

Be innovative and make sure you stay on top of the new technology trends and challenges. Communicate and socialize your ideas and ask for feedback on an ongoing basis to test and validate your assumptions. My top advice, however, would be to focus on establishing a large network of contacts and relationships with people across the organization. We promote collaboration and our culturally diverse teams and people are our biggest asset.
